Director of all things Platform and Product in R&D IT. Our objectives are to improve developer experience and productivity within (and beyond) our Product and Platform teams. This means forming and delivering initiatives orientated at improving these outcomes.Examples being a new in-house SDLC observability platform which covers metrics and sentiment, building-out a Platform-as-a-Product (enabled through Roadie Backstage and Crossplane), creating a homegrown Product Operations web app, and enhancing developer onboarding. I have also been leading initiatives in modernising GxP delivery to improve productivity, quality and speed.To transform engineering at AstraZeneca we have developed a product mix of homegrown products, SaaS products, and development on top of SaaS (e.g. reusable actions and repository templates). In addition to the products above our team owns a Product Management Platform (Airfocus), Jira config templates, a number of \'consumables\'(reusable GitHub Actions, repo templates, automated release reports, shared workflows etc), and a bespoke dashboard for product teams.We achieve all this with a team of Product Managers, DevOps and Full-Stack Engineers, and Platform Engineers.
