Under my leadership, grew the endowment from $106M to $355M, increased annual revenue from approximately $15M per year to $50M+, and increased total assets from approximately $125M to >$400M- Serve as key staff liaison to the Finance, Investment, Audit, Governance, and Retirement Committees, and actively participate in and routinely present to the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors- Created dynamic financial models for forecasting and conducting sensitivity and scenario analysis, including the use of Monte Carlo simulations to determine statistical probabilities around potential outcomes- Built a high-functioning and cohesive team. Improved all financial, accounting and business functions to support operational units with a focus on “value-added” activities- Restructured processes around cash management which resulted in an additional $1M+ per year in operating revenue- Through team collaboration and the application of data analytics and strategy, developed a thoughtful budgeting process to make the most efficient and effective use of organizations resources- As Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”), created a broad ERM framework for adoption by all constituents across the organization- Developed a strong partnership with the Director of Human Resources to implement and communicate best practices around compliance issues related to payroll, health benefits, merit increases and professional development to maximize employee benefits while minimizing costs- In partnership with legal counsel, responsible for handling a variety of legal matters (e.g, regulatory compliance, employment matters, real estate transactions, contract disputes)- Assisted University leadership in complex real estate development projects on campus, including assessing public/private partnership opportunities, opportunity zones and identifying optimal capital structures (e.g, conduit tax-exempt debt issuance).
