ABOUT ADAM POWELL

Involvement in an extensive range of events, organizations, and roles, has provided the opportunity for me to develop a strong and unwavering ability to operate efficiently under high pressure and in fast paced, stressful environments. One might say I thrive in it. With years of valuable experience in sport and major events, I\'ve developed a thorough understanding and working knowledge of event operations, accreditation management and access control. I\'ve worked within, consulted for, and managed accreditation operations and access control for a large number of major events. In more recent years I\'ve had some amazing opportunities to work in multi sport events and oversee events operations across the entire spectrum of functional areas. This experience has required and aided me in developing strong communication and facilitation skills. Guiding and critiquing host societies and volunteers with a soft touch, but strongly enough to ensure deliverables are met. In years past I have worked extensively with underprivileged and at-risk youth in outdoor and athletic settings with the goal of facilitating personal and social development. Although it may not be a career aspiration, it certainly is a passion that I hope to continue my involvement in.
