At the SUNCAT Center for Interface Science and Catalysis, we are working to develop and study novel catalysts for chemical transformations critical for the global transition to renewable economies, including for sustainable hydrogen, ammonia, and liquid fuels production. We use the unique instrumentation onsite at SLAC (SSRL, LCLS) to execute the foundational scientific studies needed inform the development improved theories of catalysis and build next-generation electrochemical devices.
