About Adam Nickerl

I\'m a student at Brigham Young University in the Computer Engineering Program. I\'ve taken classes in microelectronics, signals and systems, analog circuit design, digital circuit design, embedded systems design, and computer architecture. My current research is in the field of physical-layer security. My team\'s current project is designing and simulating a \"self-jamming\" communication system at the physical layer, where the legitimate receiver sends out a pulse jamming signal while receiving the message from the legitimate sender in order to create confusion for any eavesdroppers trying to understand the secret message. The project involves many elements of information theory, communication theory, and error correction coding.

   Creating tooling for the testing of autonomous vehicle subsystems, including the creation of data extraction and reporting frameworks as well as writing \"auto-graders\" to evaluate system performance of the autonomous vehicle to requirements on a simulator for the motion planning system of the autonomy stack.
