WHY A CAREER IN HUMAN RESOURCES? I have always been business-centric. In high school, I was president of Future Business Leaders of America, and in college I majored in organizational studies and business administration. Over time, I grew attracted to the people side of business and how you can leverage the value of human capital and culture change to drive business growth. MY TRUE STRENGTH:I excel at understanding business drivers and partnering with senior leaders to influence smart business decisions based on human capital and change management to drive results. WHY PEOPLE LIKE WORKING WITH ME:I exude optimistic energy and a positive, can-do, roll-up-my-sleeves attitude. I believe that when the team excels, we all excel. I focus on understanding each individual on the team and what makes them tick so that I can help them invest in their career development and success. I am clear and concise in both verbal and written communications. I make sure people have the information they need, and I follow up and update as necessary. I challenge people when appropriate. I am an active listener and people advocate. HOW I IMPACT EMPLOYEE RETENTION:It starts with creating a purpose-driven organization and culture where the best people want to be.
