About Adam Johnson

I always look at things and wonder how they work, and I often try to figure it out. I will test, pry, and play with them until they break, and then proceed to put them back together. This curious thinking is what has influenced all the major decisions of my life, beginning with building computers and learning to code in 7th grade. I thought (and still do) that it was so cool to be able to build a computer and then tell it exactly what to do. As I progressed through college, my love of learning sprouted a love of teaching. I became a Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Linear Circuits and Systems so that I could share the joy that I get when learning with others. I\'ve made plenty of mistakes in my classes, and I\'m not afraid to admit it, but I can and will work to help others avoid them. While my skills get more refined throughout the years, through classes and an internship in the Business Information Services Department at a large financial institution, I still continue to test, pry, and play with anything and everything around me. While it may not be simply just be coding in Java or putting a computer together anymore, I push myself to understand the world around me through projects with arduinos, FPGAs, circuits, web development, and more. Although I may not be the same person as when I first discovered my passion for figuring out how things work, I still have the same ambitious, enthusiastic, and curious nature that motivates me as an engineer.
