ABOUT ADAM MARUSKIN
Retail executive and category management leader — 18+ years at the intersection of business operations and enterprise technology. Rare operator who has managed $1.6B P&L, monetized data, rescued a failing enterprise PIM implementation, and configured ERP-integrated promo and assortment platforms. Currently VP of Retail Consulting at Quantium — driving $100M+ in traced annual value for a Fortune 150 retail client through data analytics, assortment strategy, and change management. Former Executive Director at CVS Health (57-person team,$50M+ annual margin impact,$1.2B P&L) and Senior Buyer/Category Manager at Dollar General under KKR ownership ($1.6B income statement). What makes my background special: nearly every functional role came with a technology mandate, and I delivered both. At Dollar General I was the product owner for the Modeler — a Java assortment management tool built from an Excel model I had run for every department, through DG\'s first-ever Agile development sprint. It is still running today. After a promotion into category management, I was asked to join the IT department and led the deployment of MAPS (JDA\'s promotional planning platform), defining category hierarchy, lift calculation logic, pricing zone rules, and the ERP integration with SymphonyAI that made supply chain forecasts believable. I also co-created and led DG\'s 1010data data lake and monetization — before the industry had a name for it.At CVS, I was handed a failing STIBO PIM implementation — digital and B&M teams deadlocked, merchants missing go-to-market dates, and suppliers unable to get purchase orders created. I solved it in six months: India-based data extraction to clear the backlog, a parallel image workstream that ended in a licensed product, and implementing a full-scale data clean-up. At the same time, I ran a Palantir-enabled data science team. Prior to that, I\'d managed a $1.2B P&L, led the Grocery and Snacks business through COVID, and implemented the Food as Medicine strategy, including the creation and launch of Well Market, a new own-brand.Today I work on the delivery of AI tools and mindsets with internal teams of data scientists as they work on bespoke consulting engagements or annualized license projects. The team excels at identification and delivery of actionable insights in tight time periods with most engagements under 10 weeks and over $100M in annualized results delivered last year alone.
