I am a Scottish qualified lawyer (2009). I am currently Head of Legal for Immediate Media.Previously I was in the Global Media and Entertainment team at Amazon from July 2021 - April 2025, having initially joined the Audible legal team, prior to moving across to Prime Video.Prior to Amazon, I was Head of Legal and Business Affairs at OTRO having previously been at IMG, Perform Group and Dugout. I have also run my own legal consultancy business, Lovatt Legal Limited supporting various clients in the sports and media space.I have wide experience of sports and media law through working at some of the biggest sports media companies in the world and have a particular expertise in legal issues facing start-up companies. I have broad expertise on IP (consolidated with a Masters in IP law from the University of London) and general commercial law and have deep knowledge on the legal aspects of fundraising undertaken by start-ups having worked on Series A funding rounds for each of Dugout and OTRO. I have a wide range of contacts within football clubs and with player teams through my time at Dugout and OTRO and have negotiated with and for a wide range of high profile entities and individuals throughout my legal career.
