Growing up, most of my friends wanted to be firefighters and professional baseball players. I always wanted to be a financial advisor.Following that dream, I studied finance and IT at Miami University while walking onto the university\'s baseball team. After college, I spent 15 years between public accounting and working in financial services at Fifth Third Bank. I gained a true appreciation for the importance of personal finance but didn’t get to work directly with the families who trusted us to help them reach their goals. Moving to Edward Jones put me in a position to work directly with families to help them reach their financial goals.Personal finance is exactly that, personal. For our family, that meant putting a plan together to pay off our home early and achieving financial freedom. For others, the #1 objective may be retirement, paying for children\'s education, purchasing a home, traveling or a combination of all of those.
