BASIC FUNCTION: Develop improvements for new and existing products and production processes while providing second level support for the region’s manufacturing plants.RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote safe working conditions and practices at all sites Develop fundamental knowledge and functional understanding of process chemicals for flotation chemistry, fine grinding surfactant / dispersants and dry product surface treatment chemistry Process and chemistry optimization with focus on manufacturing cost and application performance for wet grinding process, flotation process and dry product surface treatment Product improvement and development for existing and new applications where calcium carbonate is used forest products, polymers industry, building materials and new areas yet to be determined Oversee and assist in plant upscaling from lab development work Provide 2nd level plant production support as required and assigned Collaborate with corporate fundamental research and development groups based in Switzerland Train and develop key plant personnel in dry product treatment, flotation and grinding processes
