Most GRC professionals focus purely on policy. I focus on the reality of the network.I am a Security Assurance Manager with 15+ years of experience spanning IT infrastructure, federal law enforcement (RCMP), and corporate leadership. I don\'t just check if a control exists on paper, I understand how it functions technically and why it matters for security.Current Focus: I lead SOC 2 compliance audits for Deloitte Technology. My role is to bridge the gap between our auditors and our engineering teams. Because I hold a CISSP with a background in systems administration, I can translate complex technical constraints into clear audit evidence, keeping our engineers focused on building, and our auditors focused on what matters.My Background & Expertise:Strategic Leadership (CISA, CRISC): Previously, as the Manager of Cybersecurity Compliance at Eastlink, I led the GRC function for a major telecommunications provider. I have extensive experience maturing compliance programs (PCI-DSS, SOC 2), and aligning risk strategies with business goals.The Investigative Mindset: 4 years as an RCMP Constable taught me how to investigate root causes, handle high-pressure situations, and follow the evidence.
