Key responsibilities include:Digital Journalism: Producing online news content, articles, and multimedia pieces that explore the intersection of politics, economics, culture, and local communities. My stories aim to connect state-level issues to everyday experiences and challenges faced by Oklahomans.Broadcast Correspondence: Appearing on PBS News and PBS NewsHour as a correspondent, delivering on-air reports that provide insightful coverage on Oklahoma’s political landscape, cultural developments, and significant business news, with a focus on how these subjects affect local communities.Community-Centered Reporting: Ensuring that all coverage is done through the lens of community impact, reflecting the diverse perspectives of people across Oklahoma. This includes highlighting stories of underrepresented voices and engaging with community leaders and residents to understand their concerns and needs.Collaboration with National Teams: Coordinating with PBS NewsHour\'s national editorial team to contribute Oklahoma-based stories and provide local insight on broader national trends.Multimedia Content Creation: Utilizing digital tools to enhance storytelling, including video segments, social media content, and interactive features, to engage a wider audience across platforms.Political and Cultural Analysis: Offering nuanced reporting on the latest developments in Oklahoma politics and culture, interpreting how these shifts shape the broader community dynamics.Through this role, I bridge the gap between local issues and national attention, bringing awareness to the ways state and community matters intersect and influence one another.
