Our mission is to ease the financial burden on underserved communities by helping them claim important tax credits—such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit—that often go unclaimed.Through our work, we:• Serve over 500 families annually in the local area• Help clients secure an average refund of $1,500–$2,500, putting vital funds back into their pockets• Save each client $200+ in tax preparation fees• Ensure 100% IRS compliance and accuracy, offering peace of mind during tax season• Support clients in English and Spanish, reducing language barriers and promoting financial literacyVITA is more than just a tax service—it’s a community-driven initiative that empowers individuals to understand their finances, avoid predatory tax services, and build a stronger economic foundation.
