About Adam Halstead

When it comes to corporate learning, I take a client first, people always approach. Meaning I view corporate learning as a tool to help an organization achieve their business goals and drive results. Additionally, I support the individuals that work to accomplish these goals in ways that inspire, encourage creativity, and engender commitment to the results we\'re trying to achieve. In my current role, I think strategically about learning and how it can support the goals of the business. This allows me to think more about how to tip \"tried and true\" methodologies on their side and explore them from different perspectives. We\'re going after new problems with new tactics, and not just operating as a content development factory. I enjoy both thinking strategically and globally to design high level initiatives, as well as rolling up my sleeves and getting the work done of designing, developing, and implementing training solutions. I like thinking creatively to solve problems, and I like to uncover novel solutions. I am data focused, using the information to help understand root causes of problems. This helps to ensure any learning solution that is implemented will have the intended business outcome or drive the behavior change we\'re after.Specialties: Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Project Management, Needs Analysis, Training Development, Implementation and Evaluation, New Hire Onboarding, Leadership Development, Strategic Planning Outside of work, I love the outdoors and travel, and will talk anyone\'s ear off about my time living in Alaska! Also, I\'m somewhat of a pepper-head, or in other words I love spicy foods and hot sauces!
