Having worked as a supermarket assistant at Waitrose for three years and counting, I have become skilled in all areas of the supermarket, including stock administrative tasks and customer facing roles such as customer service and payment supervisor. The transferrable skills I have developed from working here are invaluable, such as the ability to be flexible in whatever I do, and thinking on my feet. I have also shown that I have an eye for detail and precision through stock rotation of products and I am often entrusted with the important compliance tasks of cashing up tills at the end of day and keeping track of all the money that gets taken during the day.
