ABOUT ADAM DYSON

I am currently a Deputy Head Teacher, where I have been instrumental in driving forwards initiatives and ensuring high standards have been met and maintained. As a senior manager within the school, I am comfortable developing beneficial relationships at all levels and have in-depth experience with all the differing aspects of largescale management, including; budgeting, man-management, resource management and compliance/regulations. Perhaps the most fulfilling part of recent work has been developing teams (of teachers and also support staff) to take care and pride in their work. I strongly believe in valuing the contributions made by individuals as this encourages genuine commitment and have prioritised utilising mentoring and appraisal to cascade skills, and our child-centred ethos across all areas. As a manager, I have delivered impressive success. I believe my ability to think strategically and plan `outside of the box` coupled with my extensive change management knowledge has helped me to deliver transformative change. I believe I can make a difference at the very highest level and I am certainly motivated by over-coming challenging strategic issues and operational complexities. I believe that a child’s early education must provide a foundation for them to make their best possible start to their school career. It is essential that they truly enjoy this initial experience of learning as it is from here that their inspiration for all further learning comes. Every child, I believe, must feel safe, secure and happy in school enabling them to make the most of their abilities and talents and to reach their full potential. This is an ethos that I have held close throughout my career. My personal maxim is to strive for excellence and I strongly believe in leading by example. I am fortunate to have developed a broad range of management skills, and I am now looking to use this extensive expertise as I continue my career into the future.
