The technical management of direct and contracted operational meter fixing operatives. Management of the Field Support team ensuring the team are fully utilised, consistent in support information and aid in desk top auditing. Manage internal technical auditors to ensure all work is carried out to high quality, safety and performance standards. Ensure all metering installed is fully compliant with and configured to required industry/company standards as defined by legal and contractual obligations. Provide a proactive environment to encourage innovation with regards to technical support and desktop auditing. Ensure all meter fixing operatives are adequately trained, mentored,assessed, accredited and authorised in line with Company policy. Liaise with the LB Training Academy Manager to ensure that all new and refresher Technical training is fit for purpose and meets contractual obligations. Liaise with Technical Standards Manager to agree appropriate Technical Reviews and Improvement Plans. Liaise with Technical Managers to ensure that Technical Audits are completed in line with the requirements of the Company’s audit and compliance policy. Chair/Participate in Disciplinary and/or capability procedure meetings. Investigate complaints, accidents and incidents and prepare detailed Technical Investigation reports. Ensure follow up actions to metering related Incident investigations have been completed. Work with other industry contacts and leads to identify, develop and deliver best practice. Continuously review the Lowri Beck Services Safe Systems of Work Manual and advise the Technical team of required updates. Review external Safety Bulletins, DNO Industry information, internal accident/incident investigations and liaise with the Technical team to compile/issue Meter Operational Bulletins. Maintain records in line with Data Protection and Information Security policies. Take actions where appropriate to minimise the impact on the environment.
