Responsible for ensuring the integrity of product design methodologies and processes across the oral and nasal proprietary drug delivery device portfolio. Acting as the technical authority and design governance lead, this role owns the Design Control framework, embedding Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles and robust design techniques to meet quality, cost, and volume targets. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining best-practice tools, CAE systems, and design standards; managing intellectual property; and overseeing interface specifications. The position involves close collaboration with commercial teams, customers, and regulatory bodies to anticipate future product needs, while mentoring, coaching and managing senior engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Additional duties include supporting work package leadership, driving compliance with ISO 13485 and MDR requirements, and ensuring product safety and reliability through advanced modelling, DFMA, FMEA, and verification strategies.
