ABOUT ADAM D.

I am an individual who is passionate about all aspects of engineering, but particularly aviation.My career is built on a solid foundation, where safety and quality are at the forefront, coming from companies that promote strong 5S and safety cultures, where effective communication is encouraged, continuous improvement is practiced, and extensive training is given on preventing FOD.I have high standards and professionalism, and I have the ability to work well on my own, or as part of a team to meet project targets safely and efficiently.I’ve always been willing to take the appropriate amount of time to do all work properly and to my full potential.I take pride in my meticulous approach to my work, and uphold the required standards to successfully complete required tasks.I am currently working in the heat treatment department at Safran Landing Systems, having previously worked in the shot peen department.Prior to this I have worked at Saint Gobain Abrasives, producing high precision diamond roller dressers, to high standards, with extensive inspection being part of my role.Mainly working in grinding, lapping, and centre lathe turning functions, with much time spent training to learn all of the functions with the business.It now my desire to seek a NDT role that would provide training to EN4179/PCN standards.Recently I have been actively researching DPI, MPI, AEI and UT, with a view to be more effective within a future role. I have recently completed the BINDT Product Technology course, which has helped reinforce my previous knowledge gained from studying at college (BTEC ONC Manufacturing Engineering).From my time at Safran I have gained much knowledge of materials, and believe this gives me an excellent foundation to progress my career.All opinions are my own and do not represent the views of my employer.
