ABOUT ADAM CHOTINER

Adam S. Chotiner is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by The Florida Bar. Adam focuses his practice on labor and employment law and litigation, representing a wide variety of employers and businesses. Adam also defends claims against businesses under Title of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, which generally requires businesses and their websites to be accessible to persons with disabilities. Adam has repeatedly been honored as a top rated Super Lawyer in labor and employment law, a distinction based on an evaluation of peer recognition and professional achievement independently conducted by Thomson Reuters. He has also been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” in labor and employment law in the South Florida Legal Guide, after having been honored as a “Top Up and Comer” as a younger attorney. Adam received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts in political science, with honors, from the University of Florida. As a Board Certified labor and employment law specialist, Adam\'s practice includes all areas of labor and employment law litigation and compliance. He has had a labor and employment law article published by the Florida Bar Journal and he has been featured as a lecturer at labor and employment law seminars. Adam’s practice also includes the defense of claims brought under Title of the Americans With Disabilities Act. These matters generally involve disabled individuals suing businesses, property owners and other places of public accommodation, claiming that barriers exist which allegedly prevent them from fully enjoying the products and services being offered. Many such claims allege “physical barriers,” such as inaccessible restrooms and parking lots, but over the past few years the scope of the claims has expanded to allegations that a business’ website or mobile application is inaccessible or otherwise non-compliant. In addition, Adam’s practice includes claims arising under the Fair Housing Act and similar state and local housing laws. Adam also has experience in other areas of commercial and complex litigation, including breach of contract, commercial disputes, insurance litigation, landlord and tenant issues, and real estate and business torts. He is also experienced in probate, trust and fiduciary litigation.
