Development, humanitarian and academic professional with 30 years of experience in post-conflict, humanitarian, early-recovery, and development environments in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. Substantive expertise in bringing together indigenous solutions and technology to deliver complex portfolios and large-scale operations in refugee support, law reform, prison management and reform, security sector reform, anti-corruption, disarmament, countering violent extremism, counter terrorism, border management, climate induced migration, elections, censuses, and disaster preparedness and response.Extensive knowledge of the international humanitarian and development system. Considerable experience in human resources, procurement, logistics, and finance coupled with direct and significant experience in results-based management, business process re-engineering, and strategic planning.Significant and often primary fundraising experience. Portfolios under my responsibility have ranged in size from $10 million to over $500 million, nearly all of which have been supported by voluntary contributions. Staffing tables in country offices have exceeded staff, including both international and local staff.
