About Adam Carlson
I wanted to give more a personal summary of myself as opposed to the more formal formats that many use. To understand me, you must know that while I practice engineering as a profession, it is much more than just a job. Some people take their engineering hat off when they leave work, but for me, the reason that I excited to get home is both to go and be with my family and play with my home engineering projects. This is a way for me to learn and update my skills. As you may be able to see, engineering is both my profession, my passion, and my hobby.My current projects include learning digital signal filtering and designing an integrated radio receiver and control system for radio controlled submarines. Radio controlled submarines have been the vehicle that has helped me dive into new fields, as well as giving me a subject to transform theory to application. Five years ago, it was in this effort that I began to teach myself C programming and digital circuit design. From there I have advanced, and now am applying this to my current project. I plan to continue this effort and broaden my understanding in radio frequency methodologies. Ultimately, this will culminate in the new design of a complete control system package that includes guidance, navigation, and control, as well as data transmission.I am always looking to meet people that have interests in engineering and would consider themselves high level tinkerers.
