ABOUT ADAM CAMPOS

Hello, and welcome to my LinkedIn page! Here’s a little bit about me: — Adam Campos is a morning reporter/producer at ABC10 News, KGTV in San Diego. He joined the station in July 2024.Since joining KGTV, Campos has covered some of the biggest breaking news stories in the market, including the Lilac Fire and a small plane crashing into a residential military neighborhood. The fast-paced environment of breaking news is where Campos thrives, and the setting he enjoys the most as a reporter. Along with breaking news, Campos has become heavily involved in coverage of the Tijuana River sewage crisis. From newly released studies on the health-related impacts of the sewage to reporting the everyday reality of residents in the South Bay, he strives to bring awareness to and hold officials accountable for one of the biggest issues plaguing the San Diego region. Campos began his career in the City of Good Neighbors – Buffalo, New York at 7 News WKBW. His experience in Western New York laid the foundation for his career. At 7 News, Campos learned the true meaning of community through his reporting, focusing on positivity. Whether it was putting on a pair of skates to embarrass himself on live TV or introducing Western New York to people who make Buffalo the special place it is, he always looked to start viewers\' mornings off with a smile. Campos also led the on-the-ground coverage on major weather events and breaking news in the mornings. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Adam is a proud graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where he received a B.S. in Broadcast and Digital Journalism with a minor in Sociology. During his time at SU, Campos was a member of CitrusTV, the university\'s student-run TV station. He also helped re-launch the NAHJ student chapter at SU and served as Co-President. Outside of work, Campos is a longtime Oakland sports fan. He is a freelance portrait and sports photographer. You can find him either at a basketball court, a coffee shop, or venturing around San Diego. —Thanks again for stopping by my LinkedIn page. Feel free to reach out with questions, feedback, or simply to say hello at any time!
