I\'ve come a long way to get to where I am now. I started in the Royal Navy where I did a technical apprenticeship and left as a Chief Petty Office after 11 years. After some lorry driving, I worked for the charity Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) first in South Sudan for a year as a Logistician and then as a convoy driver in the former Yugoslavia, driving medical supplies from Split on the coast to Sarajevo, at the end of the war there.After I returned home, I drove lorries for a little longer before I started a role in 2nd/3rd line IT Support at the Carlsberg Tetley brewery.This was followed over the next 4 years by several contract roles doing IT support until I started down a development path at Marconi in then, I\'ve had permanent roles at 5 companies - Sendo mobile phones, Motorola, Find Me A Gift, British Eventing, and Skedulo.In each role, I have grown my technical skills, working across a range of technologies, including Salesforce/Apex/LWC development, Python and.Net/C#, SQL Server, Postgres and more.My soft skills have grown too, including communications, teamwork and understanding/analysis of business requirements.My background in network and server management before moving into a development role, give me an excellent understanding of all aspects of app/web development, from the physical hosting all the way through to specifying and actually developing it - although my focus these days is development.Technical Skills: Salesforce Admin and Development – 6 years Python & Flask – 5 years Microsoft.Net development using Visual Studio and C#(including ASP.Net/MVC applications, Web & Windows services, Windows & console applications) 19 years.
