VecTech is a technology social enterprise spun out of Johns Hopkins Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design working to empower public health organizations in the global fight against mosquito borne disease. Through our core technology of mosquito species identification with computer vision, we lower the capability and cost barriers required for targeted mosquito control to reduce and prevent diseases such as malaria, dengue, and Zika. The products placing this technology in the hand of users are informed by over hours of primary ethnographic research by the founders, and advising from our partners organizing mosquito control efforts around the globe.
