About Adam Borison

Dr. Adam Borison is an internationally-recognized consultant and entrepreneur focused on transportation electrification and renewable energy. He has more than 30 years of experience in the successful application of advanced analytic methods to policy, strategy, valuation, operations and risk issues. His work is aimed specifically at decarbonizing both the transportation and power sectors. Dr. Borison has broad experience across a wide range of geographies, technologies and applications. Most recently, Dr. Borison helped craft the electric mobility strategy and roadmap for a Caribbean utility, advised a California municipality on its electrification programs and tariffs, proposed improved electric vehicle standards/regulations for the APEC economies, and conducted in-depth economic/financial/technical analysis for utility-scale wind, solar and battery developments in the Mountain States. He has also conducted dozens of training seminars and coaching workshops, and worked on numerous capability-building engagements involving data and model development, advanced analytics, and results interpretation and communication. Dr. Borison has submitted expert testimony in arbitration, litigation and regulation settings both domestically and internationally. Dr. Borison has served on the visiting faculty at Stanford University, U.C. Berkeley and the University of Cambridge, teaching courses both specifically on renewable energy and generally on management methods. He has authored several articles in leading publications such as The Electricity Journal, Power Grid International, Public Utilities Fortnightly, Sloan Management Review, California Management Review and The Journal of Applied Corporate Finance. Dr. Borison led the original development team for DPL, a leading decision and risk analysis software package now in its ninth release. He also co-founded Agni Energy, an India-focused bioenergy company, and E-motion Autos, a US-focused electric mobility company.
