As the Director and Assistant General Counsel of Potbelly Sandwich Works, I provide legal guidance and support to senior management and various departments, including human resources, finance, development, and marketing. With over five years of experience in the legal field, I have developed strong skills in compassion, problem solving, analytical thinking, legal writing, and leadership. I am passionate about helping others and ensuring justice and fairness in the workplace. I manage litigation and oversee outside counsel, draft and negotiate contracts, apprise the company of emerging legal issues, conduct legal research and opinions, and lead internal investigations. I also have expertise in business litigation and employment law, having represented and defended clients in complex cases and claims. Additionally, I conduct diversity, equity, and inclusion training for the company, as I believe in creating a positive and respectful work environment for everyone.
