ABOUT ADAM BAKOWSKI
I’m from the generation that had to choose between using the internet and making a phone call, without knowing that years later I’d be working on the networks that underpin modern connectivity.I started my telecom career in 2014, building on several years of studying telecommunications, specialising in fibre optic networks. I graduated with a Master of Engineering degree, which equipped me with a broad technical foundation and the ability to approach complex problems from multiple perspectives.Today, I work for one of the UK’s leading full fibre network operators, delivering complex public sector and mobile projects across the country, with individual project values of up to £5M. My role spans design, delivery and team leadership, ensuring network solutions are practical, buildable, cost-effective, future-proof and aligned with world-class fibre architecture.Having worked across Poland and the UK, I bring a pragmatic, analytical approach shaped by different markets and delivery models, with the understanding that good network design is as much about people and processes as it is about drawings and data.Currently, together with my team, I focus on improving planning processes, supporting network planners, and making complex delivery easier to navigate. A key part of my role is providing clear guidance, practical templates and effective reporting.
