ABOUT ADAM BADDELEY
I\'ve always been excited and inspired by the use of new technologies to positively change society, which started with working in \'internet\' and \'wireless\' comms in the late 1990s. My work for the last 20 years has focused wholly on new energy technologies and is now exclusively devoted to hydrogen as an energy vector to decarbonise industry, flexible power generation and potentially vehicles and households.I am incredibly proud to have been, in 2016, one of the originators of HyNet North West an integrated hydrogen and CCS project. As part of this I have Ied a set of commercial-scale hydrogen demonstration projects at several major industrial sites including those operated by Unilever, NSG-Pilkington and Kellogg\'s.I am equally proud to be originator and CEO of Grenian Hydrogen in partnership with Statkraft and Foresight. This JV entity has been set up to develop and deploy green hydrogen production facilities in the North West and England and North Wales, the first of which should be operating by 2027.In my previous career as a consultant I worked extensively for Government and directed, a number of major programmes around battery storage, heat pumps and novel energy saving technologies. Also as a consultant, I undertook a range of work for developers and the investment community, leading bids and due diligence exercises on potential new investments in low carbon energy infrastructure. This included managing a successful bid into the Government\'s first CCS Competition, on behalf of RWE and Orsted.
