ABOUT ADAM ARMOUR-FLORENCE
Experienced carbon and Sustainability professional with particular interest in environmental & Climate Change issues, including energy efficiency & carbon reduction measures, building design, behaviour change and climate justice. My experience lies with both historic and contemporary properties ranging from offices, schools, depots and castles. Much of my work relates directly to Scottish and UK Climate Change policy, including UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG\'s). Currently working as a Senior Housing Retrofit Consultant in the private sector, I have also worked within public bodies and in the heritage sector, where my focus is on the mitigation of Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions. Particularly Energy, Water, Waste, and Business Travel. This also includes (but not limited to) Sustainability and Adaptation measures. I have a keen interest in Cultural and Archaeological Heritage, Tourism and Conservation of the natural and built environment; supporting this as Carbon Manager for Historic Environment Scotland (HES). I then developed this by assessing climate change interventions for applicants to the HES award section of the RIAS awards. I have also been a Conservation Volunteer for the National Trust for Scotland since 2012.I have also developed a wide range of Behaviour Change, Awareness Raising and Communications skills relating to Energy, Climate, Carbon Emissions and Sustainability. This has been supported by co-developing a sustainability campaign and accompanying website for West Dunbartonshire Council, delivering carbon management presentations at colleges and conferences, and presentations to Schools and Eco-Groups (as part of Eco-Schools). I am also an experienced drummer with over 20 years in a range of different genres: Electro; Rock; Pop; Folk; Metal; Punk; and Funk, etc. I have also carried out session work for bands and have performed in the studio, on radio, at festivals and on tours across the UK.
