As a Technology Development (TD) Thermal-Mechanical Engineer, I work in R&D, specifically on low Technology Readiness Level (TRL) projects within the thermal-mechanical engineering realm, with specific focus on oscillating heat pipes (OHPs). My main role and focus at ThermAvant is being a Thermal Analyst for all of the R&D projects using a combination of CAD, FEA, CFD, and programming software/languages including SolidWorks, ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Fluent, Julia, and MATLAB.I have been involved with projects including spaceborne OHP radiators, thermoacoustic-based OHPs for electric aircraft, battery thermal management OHPs, turbofan heat waste recovery OHPs, high heat flux/thermal density electronic OHPs, ceramic OHPs, thermal strap OHPs, phase change material, and additional novel OHP applications.
