As the Development Coordinator, I take part in every piece of fundraising that goes on at Shoal Creek Conservancy. I take the most active role in donations from individuals and corporate groups which includes solicitation, invoice processing and stewardship. I also take an active role in all major campaigns and large scale events from behind-the-scenes planning to promotion via social media and email marketing and on-site coordination.In my time at Shoal Creek Conservancy I have worked with my colleagues to contribute meaningfully on legacy events, restart programs that were previously on hiatus and help to conceptualize first-time events. I love being able to work off the successes of a well-established program AND being able to create something for the first time, and find a lot of fulfillment in figuring out ways to make something feel fresh and exciting.I work with an annual Development Plan developed alongside leadership to map out our annual goals and objectives and use fundraising CRM Neon (as well as GoogleSuite) to track fundraising progress. I report our progress and challenges to other staff members as well as the Development Committee of our Board of Directors on a monthly basis.
