About Acy Stapp

I’m a highly experienced game engine and systems developer with a long, proven career. I focus on rendering and graphics and have a strong technical foundation and experience with all parts of engine development. My expertise is in designing and implementing complex rendering systems, VFX pipelines, and cross-platform optimizations, as well as the tools and pipelines to support them. I advance the state of the art while delivering robust, high performance code. Recent work includes unreal LLM experiments, dynamic landscape deformation in UE5, hair rendering and engine design for Diablo II: Resurrected, and advanced VFX in Crash Team Racing and Skylanders.I’m looking for work that lets me solve hard problems; especially at an early stage or in a central tech role where I can help create high impact technology and tools for designers, artists, and other engineers. I like to create software systems that are easy to use, reason about, and maintain. I work well with artists and designers during pipeline development and I’m good at communicating engineering concepts.
