About Jenny Acosta

Hello! I\'m Jenny Lin Acosta, a multiracial Hainanese-Singaporean, Puerto Rican, Irish NYC-native creative with over ten years of experience in graphic design, illustration, and brand strategy, specializing in the food & hospitality industry. I\'m passionate about exploring the meaning of home through the lens of food, and creating engaging and enriching visual stories that pay homage to diverse cultures.Currently, I am an independent designer/artist, a culinary instructor, production staff for culinary tv programs and line cook. I also work as a Brand Designer at Welcome To Chinatown, a grassroots non-profit that supports NYC Chinatown businesses and community, where I design merchandise, logos, restaurant menus, marketing materials, and brand identity strategies. In addition, I am a practicing artist, running my own freelance graphic design and food-focused creative studio, serving a variety of clients in the food & hospitality sector, such as Bon Appétit, Sanzo, NYFW private chef services, and Union Square Hospitality Group.I previously showcased \"One Can of Coconut Milk\" in a solo exhibition at Land to Sea in 2023, and a self-funded pop-up dinner series Hainanese Chicken Rice Dinner at Easy Lover BK and Welcome to Chinatown Hub in 2024. I received a BFA in interdisciplinary sculpture from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA \'14). You can see some of my work at
