ABOUT ADAM CASTLE
I help startups connect with the people, resources, and opportunities they need to grow. Whether that means turning an idea into a business or helping a venture take its next bold step. At the core of my work is a belief that innovation ecosystems should serve both companies and communities. As the Director of Venture Services and Partnerships at WEtech Alliance, I’ve spent the last seven years building founder-first programs, coaching entrepreneurs across sectors, and forging partnerships that drive sustainable economic development. Along the way, I’ve been recognized by United Way’s 40 Under 40, BizX’s Powerhouse Professional of the Year, and The Peak’s Emerging Leaders list. My background spans social work, economic development, and entrepreneurship, all of which taught me the same truth: this work is about people. I lead through a set of non-negotiables: • Community first: Business is the engine, but community is the oxygen. • Empathy, equity, and mental health matter: Always learning, always listening. • Sustainability over shortcuts: Trust and long-term thinking are the foundation. • Curiosity fuels progress: I try to lead with a beginner’s mind. • Family is central: I model balance (not always successfully) and support others in doing the same. • Innovation should be useful: Solve real problems. Create lasting impact. Whether I’m coaching a founder, working with my amazing team to design a program, or building a new partnership, my goal is the same: to support the people doing the hard, often unseen work of building a better economy, and a better future.
