I wrote 1,330 verses to find ground in a world that felt like it was breaking.By day, I\'m a software architect — 25+ years in financial services, trading systems, payment systems. MS in Computer Engineering from DePaul.But the thing I needed most, no system could build-I was watching the world regress — authoritarianism rising, hatred normalized — and I couldn\'t change any of it. I needed something to ground me. But I\'m not religious. No single sacred book spoke to me.So I started collecting wisdom from everywhere. Buddhist mindfulness, Stoic resilience, Vedantic inquiry, Confucian ethics, Sufi poetry, African Ubuntu. It needed form — so I reached for the Tamil kural meter of my childhood, the same structure as the ancient Thirukkural.1,330 verses later, it became Inaikkural (ih-nai-ku-ral) — \"connected verses.\"The Holding Lightly series is the English companion — four books that expand each verse into practical guidance.It\'s for anyone who\'s lost, looking for meaning, wanting the wisdom without the walls.Some books are meant to be read once. These are meant to be returned to.
