About Achim Welter

I got hooked on solving problems using digital technologies in my 6th grade computer class and haven’t stopped since. Fast forward to today’s business, I thrive on bringing a cross functional team together to define a vision and strategy on how to apply digital technology to solve a business problem, and successfully deliver on it.During my career I had the opportunity to serve in many different IT leadership roles across various industries allowing me to i) Develop digital strategies and influence senior leaders to adopt these strategies, most recently by developing our data, analytics, and AI operating model across IT and business at Hershey. ii) Develop, leading, and deliver digital solutions for a wide variety of business problems including complex and large IT transformations like the recent ERP strategy and transformation at Hershey. Develop the enterprise IT strategy including the IT Operating Models for complex enterprises. During my time at Accenture I delivered this type of work with my team to clients in the consumer products, financial servives, healthcare, and higher education industries. I love building business capabilities through the usage of digital tools whether it is to optimize operations, drive new insights, automate holistic across E2E processes, or create a new product to reach customers.
