Centered on my chair,\"Perception for Intelligent Systems\" at Technical University of Munich, I strive to advance intelligent systems that perceive, understand, and responsibly interact with the world. As a researcher and professor in robotics and AI, I focus on developing perception technologies that enable autonomous systems to operate safely and effectively in complex, human-centered environments. From robot olfaction for detecting hazardous gases over intelligent mobile robotics to human–robot interaction and AI-driven support and safety applications, my work bridges scientific discovery with real-world impact.
