Dr. Ronald Wyatt is a global healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience in improving quality, safety, and equity in health and healthcare. He is also the Founder and CEO of Achieving Health Equity LLC, a private consulting company, providing health and healthcare equity training and coaching, designs equity interventions and initiatives, and mentors emerging leaders.Dr. Wyatt has held prestigious positions as Chief Science and Medical Officer at the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine, Chief Quality Officer at Cook County Health and the Hamad Medical Corporation, as well as Patient Safety Officer at The Joint Commission and the U.S. Department of Defense. He is a board-certified physician, a master of health administration, and a certified professional in patient safety. He has been recognized as a top safety expert in the USA, a Merck Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and a clinical effectiveness certificate holder from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is passionate about teaching, coaching, and inspiring others to achieve excellence in healthcare. He teaches healthcare equity data analysis approaches at Northwestern Medicine and is a credentialed course instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Health Professions. He has published and presented extensively on leadership, safety culture, human factors, patient experience, and health equity.
