About Atul Chadha
My passion is to work with \'data\' and to find innovative solutions to problems that matter. At IBM I was continually engaged in key strategic initiatives in the Big Data and Cloud space, having defined product strategy and bringing their first ever big data and cloud offerings to market.I have been fortunate to get the opportunity to build and lead high performance teams in varied functions ranging from research, to engineering, to data science, to product management, to technical enablement, to ecosystem development, all centered around \'data\' in one form or another. It has been a satisfying experience to take fledgling innovations from prototype to scalable and robust enterprise software products, and building successful global programs around them to take them to market.As head of the Analytics Platform Tools team at IBM, I led the building of the next gen platform for management, monitoring and optimization of on-prem and cloud data stores. I have authored 10 patents in data mining and related areas, including one rated among top 5% of most valuable patents for IBM. It was also a privilege to help lead the growth of a whole new Information Integration business segment, from almost nothing to over $600M in annual revenue. From a team leadership perspective, I was rated among the top 1% of IBM Software Group managers globally. I have also had the enriching experience of being able to contribute to the poorest parts of the world through business volunteering, leveraging my technical and strategic thinking expertise.I was the founder and CTO of a behavioral data platform and targeted marketing startup that was successfully assimilated into Good Technology (now Blackberry). I founded the Silicon Valley office and a new data analytics business line for Affinity Solutions, and built a scalable data and data science/analytics infrastructure that led to revenue growth from zero to a majority of the company\'s revenue.
