Currently working as a Research and Development Co-op at Corning Inc, where I contribute to advancing optical fiber technologies. In this role, I- Support research efforts aimed at enhancing Corning’s optical fiber capabilities- Address complex technical challenges to improve product performance and efficiency- Analyze experimental data to uncover insights that drive innovation and inform decision-making- Design and execute experiments to validate new approaches and technologies. Alongside my role at Corning, I am pursuing a PhD at the College of Optics and Photonics (CREOL) at the University of Central Florida, specializing in Fiber Optics and Optics & Photonics. My academic and research background includes- Expertise in the design, fabrication, and characterization of fiber optics, including hollow core fibers, fiber components, and fiber amplifiers- Hands-on experience with advanced characterization techniques, such as dispersion measurement, spectral analysis, and RI profiling- Experience with cutting-edge experimental tools, including precision cleavers, splicers, tapering machines, Optical Spectrum Analyzers (OSAs), FTIR-OSAs, Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEMs), and more- Proficiency in semiconductor material processing and cleanroom operations (class-100 and environments). I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to solve complex problems in Optics and Photonics. I thrive in collaborative environments and am driven to contribute to team success and the advancement of innovative solutions.
