I\'ve spent 8 years inside the machine.APIs, distributed systems, RAG pipelines, onboarding flows that once took four weeks and now take twenty minutes. I\'ve built products from zero, the kind where you\'re naming the thing before you\'ve figured out what it does, and I\'ve handed them off to teams who scaled them without me. That\'s the job done right.But the part that stays with me isn\'t the architecture.It\'s the moment a partner stops calling support because the system finally makes sense. It\'s the ops person who used to spend three hours on a single onboarding and now spends that time on something that actually needs them. Good products are quiet that way, they remove friction so gently that nobody celebrates. They just breathe easier.I write about those moments. The gap between what a system is designed to do and what a person actually feels when they use it.
