In this position, I lead the nationally acclaimed Eviction Defense Project (“EDP”) by coordinating, recruiting, and supervising volunteer attorneys and law students representing tenants. In hand with that, I provide significant, state-wide training opportunities to the private bar and cultivate relationships with service providers, community leaders, and court officials in the Milwaukee area. Additionally, in this work I conduct depositions, interrogatories, and other discovery practices in affirmative litigation, as well as draft motions at both the state and appellate level. Consistently, I represent clients at motion hearings, bench trials, and even a jury trial in June of 2024. All the while, I chair multiple firmwide committees and initiatives, such as the Homelessness Prevention Subcommittee, Jury Instructions Revision Committee, and Volunteer Engagement Committee.
