About Abriannah A.
Abriannah Aiken (she/her) is a designer and activist. She joined DLR Group in 2022, where she specializes in urban planning and cultural and performing arts projects. In addition, she is the co-founder and New York Operations Officer of Architecture + Advocacy. She received her Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, where she has also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. She is a co-author of “Disappearing Queer Spaces” (Columbia GSAPP, 2023) and recently launched the companion Queer Harlem Augmented Reality Phone Application. Her work with Feminist Spatial Practices was recently featured as part of the Chronograms exhibition organized by e_flux Architecture and the Jencks Foundation. She looks forward to her future advocacy in the field of architecture, centering community-voices through design advocacy and community engagement.
