ABOUT ABRAHAM NARH

Dr Abraham Narh is a transport practitioner with a background in Civil Engineering, a post-graduate degree in Transport Engineering and Operations, and a PhD in Traffic Engineering. His broad range of experience encompass transport planning and modelling, development planning, traffic engineering, traffic and transport assessments, data analysis, mathematical modelling and innovative research, working in both the UK and overseas. Delivered transport assassments and transport statements for a variety of land uses including residential, office, retail, restaurant etc. in support of planning application proposals. Expertise in junction and road network capacity modelling software such as PICADY, ARCADY, LINSIG, TRANSYT/TRANED2 and VISSIM. Expertise also include:• Chaos Theory and Neural Networks applied to road traffic studies • Mathematical modelling / Short term forecasting / Emerging transport technology• Statistical programs including R, Mini-tab, and SPSS • Microsoft programs: C# program, Python• SAP Project management software• Database packages - TRAVL, TRICS, TEMPRO, MIDASNon-technical expertise includes project management, team leadership, innovation management, resource and financial planning, report and bid writing. Current research interests in applying AI techniques and mathematical modelling techniques to next generation transport modelling and simulation platforms.
