ABOUT A. BRAD PARKS
The Olaunu mission is to protect the environment with a particular focus on water quality in streams, waterways, and the coastal ocean. Ultimately, we seek to restore natural functions of these habitats in a sustainable manner. As both a physical oceanographer and environmental engineer, I have been fortunate to work on a variety of water quality projects from upland rivers and Andean mountain streams to estuaries and coastal dynamic reaches to the deep ocean. This broad background around water resource issues (water quality and chemistry, hydrology, hydrodynamics, transport) is a perfect fit for the Olaunu mission. I have provided environmental expertise under a variety of legal frameworks from Superfund (CERCLA), ESA, NRDA, and Oil Pollution Act in the US to environmental litigations, EIAs and EISs in Chile and Perú. I work professionally in English and Spanish as we continue to spread the word on sustainable environmental solutions in Latin America.
