About Abdul Basit K.
I\'m a hybrid brand and user interface designer and creative director currently leading design efforts across Google Labs in Mountain View, California where I am building and contributing to some of Google’s most innovative zero to one generative AI-first products. In the past I have worked with teams across product, marketing and retail to create immersive design experiences for diverse industries ranging from automotive, finance, travel, hospitality, fashion, retail, telecommunications, publishing and cultural institutions. My market knowledge spans Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States, while my approach is anchored in future visioning, brand and visual identity, user interfaces, ecosystems, websites for e-commerce, product and landing pages, interior design and film.I am fascinated by the patterns of human behavior and the distinct qualities of people and their cultures. These insights inspire and inform my design, strategy and branding work. Ultimately, I strive to bring people and technology together across geographies through craft informed by research, user insights and strategy.
