ABOUT ABISHEN FONGLAN
I am a mechanical engineering graduate currently working as a Design Engineer at Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre in Chennai. My role involves developing CAD models, creating industry-standard 2D drawings, managing prototypes, and collaborating directly with suppliers to solve design and production challenges.Working in a fast-paced automotive environment has taught me the importance of precision, data analysis, and cost-conscious innovation. These experiences have also sparked my interest in finance especially the strategic and operational levers that drive profitability, project investment, and long-term value creation.To better prepare for this transition, I’ve pursued certifications like Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, and I’m now planning to pursue an Master’s in finance. I am eager to deepen my understanding of corporate finance, investment decision-making, and financial strategy while contributing the discipline and problem-solving mindset I’ve honed in engineering.Outside work, I’ve led student cultural initiatives and volunteered to teach English in rural areas experiences that reflect my collaborative spirit and belief in inclusive growth.
