My role was identifying and implementing open-source applications for the benefit of developers to improve code-quality and eliminate common functional and developmental errors. The technical curiosity of my small team was at the helm of our work as we implemented various open source tools such as Cruise-Control,Jenkins,SonarQube amongst others to improve efficiency and also make our work as developers a lot more exciting. Another trait about myself that I realized during my first few months as a Developer is my ability to adapt to fulfill multiple roles within the team.I have been given the opportunity to work on proprietary tools,migrate existing services to run on open source tools(Fuse Framework) and I was also part of the Proactive testing team to perform testing of the migrated services to identify flaws in performance. I have also worked in various regions of Middleware from Web Services to Enterprise Service Bus(ESB). This has enabled me to understand the role of each component in the overall scheme of things and thereby develop efficient components.
